A. Finding one’s purpose is no easy task. It takes a lot of time, vulnerability and brutal honesty. Finding one’s purpose or what we call finding one’s “Why” is more of an uncovering than anything else truly. To help find one’s purpose, we recommend listing to Simon Sinek’s book, “Start with Why,” which can be found in our audiobook library.
> Q. How do I create a future focused team that sees what they are meant to do to change their world?
A. This goes actually back to one’s main purpose or their “why” of getting into network marketing.
> Q. What can I do each day to strongly influence my team and remind them of their purpose?
A. One of the best ways to do this is to have each member of your team fill out CEQ’s Accountability Log on a weekly basis and then to have them review it on a daily basis. Within this important tool each team member has the opportunity to write down and review their personal “why” on a weekly and daily basis.

A. When team members feel safe, secure and confident in who they are and their abilities it is at this point that they become willing to look at their failures and setbacks not as bad things, but as personally tailored, pin pointed road maps of where they can improve. A. As one becomes more and more at-one with their purpose or “why” it becomes clearer and definite. This takes a great deal of time, introspection and personal development. The beautiful part, however, about finding one’s purpose and personal “why” is that once it is found there is no longer any need for external validation, accountability or motivation; it all comes from within and creates an unstoppable human.

Personal Growth Helps Support Others

> Q. What can I do to ensure I am adequately helping others?
A. The best way to help others is create a relationship of trust and mutual respect. We refer to it as heart and mind. Your team members need to know you care about them (heart) and that you are competent and successful at what you are teaching them (mind). Without them trusting that you have their best interests at heart and without them respecting your competency, it is virtually impossible to help another.
> Q. How do I know when a person no longer wants my help?
A. When the other person is beginning to withdrawal energetically you know they no longer need your help. This is not always necessarily a bad thing. For example, if you have trained someone well they will get to the point where they no longer need your help, which is a good thing. However, sometimes when team members begin to fail and give up they begin to energetically withdraw. Signs of energetic withdrawal can be seen as less verbal communication, less time spent together and greater distance physically speaking.

A. The secret to holding a team member accountable is actually in asking them how they would like you to hold them accountable. Any other way is force and forcing someone never works.

A. We all have needs and priorities. As our personal needs get met, we slowly start looking outside ourselves to helping others. When our own financial, physical and emotional needs are met, we then begin to help others meet theirs.
> Q. How do I identify my business gifts so that I can use them to help others.
A. Taking an inventory of our own business talents and gifts is a very useful exercise. One easy way to identify these gifts is by asking family member and close friends who know you the best what they perceive are you business talents and gifts. Asking customers or downline members these questions can be helpful as well. If one can identify personally what recharges them the most, what fills them up with the most, enlivens the most passion are other places one can look to discover one’s business gifts and talents.

Creating Joy and Fulfillment

> Q. What can I do to ensure I am adequately creating joy and fulfillment?
A. This requires one to look inward and to discover what are one’s personal values. Then as one lives in accordance and integrity with those values true joy and fulfillment will be the nature result.
> Q. What are ways my team can help create joy for one another?
A. Each team member will receive joy in different ways. A team must then form it’s own identity, it’s own value system. Then as the team acts and behaves in alignment with these core values happiness and joy will be the nature consequence.
> Q. How do I help team members see their growth?
A. Looking in the rear view mirror figuratively speaking is often a practice that many of us fail to do, but one that can give helpful perspective. In addition, having measurable goals, deadlines can provide a measuring stick where by we can judge our growth or lack thereof.
> Q. How do we increase satisfaction through non-sales activities?
A. Enjoying the journey and not just the destination is a part of the human condition. The more present we become in living in the very minute we are existing, along with practicing a continuous mental state of gratitude will always produce satisfaction on non-sales activities.
> Q. How do I engage people from all age groups?
A. Understanding the needs, wants, desires, fears, insecurities one’s audience and target market is the key to producing engagement. People become engaged when they are focusing on what the care about. This requires a very unselfish, others focused leadership style.

Measuring Success

> Q. In what ways can we identify hope and optimism?
A. That which we focus on grows. Like a magnifying glass which enlarges what it looks at, so do our thoughts, actions and results grow based upon what we focus on. In other words, as we focus on hope, things we are grateful for, having a positive attitude all these things will grow and enlarge in our lives.
> Q. How do I create a culture of measured potential and possibilities?
A. Getting the buy-in of each member you lead, along with a well established set of team expectations and values is where one must start. Then after this is well established through consistency and example, one now has the power to change the direction of the team to focus on other and new possibilities.
> Q. How do I measure gratitude?
A. Gratitude is an emotional. It is intangible and thus can be tricky to measure. However, the good news is our physical bodies are good reflections of our inner emotions and feelings. Thus as we become more grateful we will not only feel happier emotions, but our body will reflect these positive feelings in the form of smiles, relaxed shoulders and a feeling of physically being lighter.
> Q. How can I help my team practice greater gratitude?
A. There are literally countless ways, as a leader, you can help your team members practice great gratitude. From writing things one is grateful for down on paper on a daily basis, to expressing gratitude in the form of thank you cards, to mediating upon all the things one is grateful, just to name a few.
